On the library


Library is often called “the first chair” of the university. One of its main functions is an informative- bibliographical support of education and research activities, organization of independent work and formation of a student's information culture.

The quality of received information depends on smooth and continuous work of the library. After all, the book collects and generalizes the results of human activity, providing an upward trend of society's education, and consequently, its development.

The library of the Interregional Open Social Institute has the fund of educational, academic and scientific literature on all the disciplines included to the existing training programs. Modern computer technologies help to make the processes of information searching, analyzing, processing and interpreting as fast and convenient as possible. Our library gives a user an option to choose between traditional and electronic methods of working with a book.

The library develops as an information kernel of the institute, accumulating and keeping the results of research and pedagogical activities of its employees, providing to all categories of users the fullest library and information services on the basis of modern information, communication and computer technologies.

Mo-Fr  from 8.00 to 18.00

Library catalogues

The IOSI Library has an alphabetic, classified and electronic catalogues, as well as a classified card-file of articles.

“University Library Online” http://www.biblioclub.ru/ is an electronic library source all IOSI students and employees can use.
